Disney's “D23” fan festival is basically part E3, part Nintendo Direct, and this year's event featured a slew of trailers, vague announcements, and even concept art trailers. It was an expanded content roadmap for the big-budget titles coming to theaters and Disney+ in the months and years ahead, with a few surprises and game tie-ins thrown in as well.
The Disney magic was so strong at the event that at one point fans applauded CEO Bob Iger, who earned $30 million last year and recently announced a price hike and a crackdown on Disney+, as he walked onto the stage.
