Black Myth: The Best Skills to Buy First in Wukong

Dark Legend: Wukong It features a variety of skill trees that you invest your Spark Points into to upgrade them. Putting points into these will be vital to your success in the game, as they provide very useful perks. And while the order in which you level them up will ultimately depend on your playstyle, we’ve compiled a list of skills that we think most players will want to invest in early if you want to get the most out of the early game.

Solid Constitution

Tree: Survival

Robust Constitution increases your maximum health by a moderate amount for each point you invest. We recommend investing at least three of your early Spark Points into this skill. Some early fights can be challenging as you try to grasp the mechanics of the game, and having that extra health can make a big difference to your chances of survival if you miss a beat.

Quick Join

Tree: Martial Arts

Swift Engage is an incredible skill to invest in right away, as it increases the engagement range of your light attack, which is how you usually start an attack on an enemy. Without this skill, your light attack essentially locks you in place, requiring you to manually move towards an enemy to make contact. However, with two Spark Points invested, you can automatically close any significant gaps between you and the enemy by tapping your light attack button.

Monkey Agility

Tree: Durability

Each point in Simian Agility slightly reduces the stamina cost of dodging, allowing you to move around the battlefield more efficiently. In the early game, you’ll still learn how much stamina you need to perform certain actions, so having a little more to work with is never a bad thing. More importantly, investing in this skill unlocks some extremely useful additional skills in the Stamina tree.

Master Escape

Tree: Durability

Once you purchase Simian Agility, you will have access to Deft Evasion. This is one of the best skills to get right at the start, as it will increase your initial evasion distance. This makes a big difference when enemies (especially bosses) have big, sweeping attacks that require you to leave a wide area.

Calm

Tree: Durability

If you've purchased Simian Agility and Deft Evasion, you're halfway to Composure. You'll need to invest one point each in Endurance and Everlasting Vigor to access them.

We recommend you follow this path because this skill will allow you to continue a combo even after dodging. Combos, Dark Legend: Wukong's combat will greatly increase your efficiency when facing off against enemies. Just dodge the path of your enemy's attack, then immediately continue shouting with the combo you started with.

Once you purchase these skills, you’ll be ready to spend points on your Stance trees and beyond to really focus on your personal playstyle. We wish you the best of luck there!
