10:10 Games has released a demo for Funko Fusion on Steam ahead of the game's release next month.
The free PC demo includes the first level of the Funko Fusion world, which is inspired by the 1982 horror classic “The Thing.”
In addition to the characters from the world of The Thing, players can find other hidden playable characters, including Capcom's Mega Man, whose inclusion in the game was announced today with the reveal trailer below.
Unveiled last year, Funko Fusion is the debut title from UK-based 10:10 Games, led by CEO and creative director Jon Burton, who previously founded Lego developer Traveller's Tales (now TT Games).
The company is home to a team of developers best known for their work on brick-based games, including studio co-founder and publishing chief Arthur Parsons, who was formerly head of design at TT Games.
“Funko Fusion is a single-player and online co-op action-adventure experience that pays tribute to NBCUniversal's extensive roster of popular worlds and the irreverent Funko Pop! interpretations of the characters that inhabit them,” reads an official description.
“In the game, players can celebrate their favorite movies and TV shows from a wide range of more than 20 franchises: from blockbuster films like Jurassic World, Jaws, Back to the Future, The Thing from Another World, Shaun of the Dead and Chucky to hit TV series like Battlestar Galactica, The Umbrella Academy and Masters of the Universe and many more.”
“Funko Fusion feels like a Lego game aimed at an older audience,” we wrote after a recent hands-on.
The game will be released on September 13th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and on November 15th for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
