Where can I get Shattered Grounds?
A legendary Crafting with a unique paint scheme, the Shattered Grounds is one of several unique weapons that drop as a quest reward in Skyline Valley. Most new weapons come from RNG-fueled, challenging events. But not Shattered Grounds!
Completing Double-Crossed Wires will grant you the Shattered Grounds as you follow the main questline of Skyline, specifically working for Oberlin in Vault 63. A challenging main quest that has you heading to the westernmost tip of Skyline Valley in search of one of Oberlin’s agents.
How do you complete Double-Crossed Wires?
On paper, Double-Crossed Wires is a simple mission. After revealing a long-kept secret about a US Army survivor, Oberlin provides reports to the remaining army in the wasteland. He does this via a dead-end location in High Knob Lookout to the west. But there's a catch. His agent, Daniel, was assigned to relay information to the US Army and then return to Vault 63, but he never returned. Your goal is to visit High Knob Lookout and find out exactly what happened to Daniel, and if possible, retrieve him and the intel.
But it's not that simple. As you approach High Knob Lookout, Blood Eagles. They have taken over the POI and are camping around and inside the watchtower. It doesn't help that Yao Guai also calls this place home.
But we can do it. Head towards the camp and pass through a small flock of Blood Eagles, then enter the basement through the hatch on the right side of the watchtower. Once inside, be careful of the Blood Eagle leader in Power Armor, as he is quite skilled and intimidating. However, the bandits around him are not.

After clearing the basement, the leader will leave a key that opens to the back room and unfortunately there you will find Daniel, the intelligence report and his confession.
Now you have a choice. You can either go back to Oberlin and pass on all this information, including Daniel's confession as a double agent, or you can optionally talk to Hugo about the situation.
If you give everything back to Oberlin, he'll give you Shattered Grounds and a handful of loot for completing the job and being honest with him!
