A multiplayer mod for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has caused the game to nearly shoot to the top of the Steam bestseller charts.
At the time of writing, the 8-year-old installment in the franchise is the fourth best-selling game on Steam. The sales boom was sparked by H2M, a mod for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered that implements an updated version of the multiplayer portion of the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
According to the developers, the mod will include over 50 maps, as well as an updated progression system and new attachments and camouflages that were not included in the original game. The original Killsteaks from Modern Warfare 2 are part of the mod.
The mod requires the base game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered when it releases on August 16.
The mod combines the maps that were already included in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered with the maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that the modders took from the original game.
2023's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 featured remakes of all the original maps from the original release, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. As a first-party title from Microsoft, Black Ops 6 will also be available on select Game Pass plans on day one.
Black Ops 6 will include two brand new Zombies maps at launch, as well as 16 multiplayer maps, including 12 core 6v6 maps and four Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Recently, an in-development version of Black Ops 6 leaked online, revealing numerous details about the title and gameplay footage before Activision planned it.
