Activision has released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, showcasing one of the Zombies launch maps, a mysterious military outpost called Terminus.
The story begins in the early 1990s, five years after the events of Cold War Zombies, when several former members of the CIA-run Requiem Team are held captive.
A tropical location in the Philippine Sea, Terminus is part prison, part secret research facility specializing in “weird science.”
“Terminus is one of the largest turn-based maps we've ever created, and there are plenty of experiences to discover and truly explore,” said developer Treyarch.
To make it easier for players to move around the islands, Terminus features a drivable vehicle in the form of a boat called the “Tactical Raft” for the first time in turn-based zombies.
There is also a new weapon called the Tentacle Trap, which can be placed over doorways and, when activated, will suck in those unlucky enough to walk underneath.
Activision detailed Black Ops 6's Zombies mode in a lengthy blog last week.
Of particular note is that for the first time, players will be able to save solo matches at any time, as long as they have full health, are not downed, dead, or actively engaged in an exfiltration, and then load their progress at a later time to pick up where they left off.
