The release of the open-world game Terminator: Survivors has been delayed, publisher Nacon announced.
Originally scheduled for release on PC on October 24, 2024 and later on consoles, the game will now be released in 2025.
Terminator: Survivors is being developed at Nacon Studio Milan, which previously worked on Rims Racing and TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3.
“Delaying the game's release was difficult for us, but we believe the extra time will allow us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator is of the quality expected,” said Marco Ponte, the studio's CEO and creative director.
“On behalf of the Nacon Studio Milan team, I would like to thank all players and fans of the series for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to work on such an iconic series as Terminator and can't wait to show you more. Thank you all for your support… We will be back.”
Terminator: Survivors is set in the world of the first two Terminator films and follows an original story that takes place after the second film, four years after Judgement Day.
Whether playing alone or in co-op mode, players must gather resources to build a base of operations for humanity's counterattack against the machines of Skynet, which are hunting the surviving human factions after the nuclear war.
