Scandinavian-inspired tiny homes start at just $50,000

When it comes to Dragon Tiny Homes, simple tiny houses like Element usually come to mind; however, for its new model Kemi, the company has designed a simple and affordable tiny house, suitable for use as a holiday home or guest house, inspired by Scandinavian designs.

The Kemi is based on a dual-axle trailer and is 20 ft (6 m) long. It is finished in black standing-seam metal cladding with wood accents.

The Scandinavian design influence doesn't particularly stand out to us, apart from the light tones and open layout, but the interior certainly looks pleasant, bright and airy thanks to the generous glazing and lack of an upstairs bedroom. Plus, Dragon Tiny Homes has kept things simple rather than trying to fit too much into the small space.

The interior of the tiny house is 160 sq ft (approximately 15 sq m) and is arranged on one level. The glass front door opens to the kitchen area. This A lot It has a small and simple design, and includes some cabinets, a sink, and also space for appliances to be added.

On the opposite side of the tiny house from the kitchen is the bedroom area, which is occupied by a double bed. There is no living room, but there is enough space to add a small sofa or some seating if desired. A mini-split air conditioning unit is built into the wall, and the house also has a ceiling fan.

The only separate area of the tiny house is the bathroom. This is accessed from the kitchen and contains a shower, sink and flush toilet. Above the bathroom is a storage area which can be extended into an upstairs bedroom if required for an additional fee.

Kemi's starting price is a relatively low $50,000.
