Sega has announced its line-up for Gamescom 2024, including a previously unannounced game.
The publisher will have three playable games at this year's show, but only two of them are known to the public.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be playable at the trade fair and will be released in Europe for the first time.
Sega will also offer a playable version of Atlus' Metaphor: ReFantazio, which will also make its playable debut in Europe.
However, it also states that “completion of the range of playable titles at the Sega booth is a project that has not yet been announced.”
Sega says its Gamescom booth will also feature plenty of photo opportunities. Sonic will be in attendance and will pose for photos with fans, while a custom-built Shadow motorcycle will also be on display.
A giant Seeker statue from Metaphor: ReFantazio will also be on display at the Sega booth and fans can take photos with it.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is an updated version of the 2011 platform game Sonic Generations and will be released on October 25th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
In the original game, Sonic and his friends team up with their past selves. The game features two gameplay styles: Classic, which is mostly sideways, and Modern, which features 3D levels.
The new version will include a “complete remaster” of Sonic Generations with “improved graphics and new bonus content” as well as new content featuring Shadow.
