The lead writer of Star Wars Eclipse has left the company to start his own studio.
Adam Williams, who joined Quantic Dream in 2015, posted a message on his LinkedIn page (as spotted by TheGamer) announcing that he had left the studio and started his own.
“After nearly 10 years at Quantic Dream, I am leaving the company to start a new studio with a group of very talented designers and developers,” Williams wrote.
“We can't reveal too much yet. We're working on something very innovative, very special and very secret for now. More on that soon.”
“I've already reached out to many of you at Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm to thank you for everything on Detroit and Eclipse. It's been a great adventure.”
“A big thank you to the team who took this step with us and to the investors who are the ideal partners for the next adventure. More on that soon.”
Williams was also the lead writer on “Detroit: Become Human” and took on the role of lead writer for “Star Wars: Eclipse” in December 2021.
Quantic Dream first announced Star Wars: Eclipse during The Game Awards in December 2021, where it was reportedly in early development.
“Star Wars Eclipse is the first video game set in an unexplored region of the Outer Rim during the High Republic era known as the Golden Age of the Jedi,” the company said at the time.
“The game will build on Quantic Dream's expertise in telling deep, branching narratives and go beyond their already established success. The player's choices will be at the heart of the experience, as each decision can have dramatic consequences on the course of the story.”
