The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is coming to new platforms this month.
The survival crafting game set in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth will be released on Steam and Xbox Series X/S on August 27, for a limited time at a special price of $19.99.
Developed by indie studio Free Range Games and published by North Beach Games, Return to Moria originally released for PC via the Epic Games Store in October 2023 before coming to PS5 last December.
The release of the game on Steam and Xbox Series X/S also comes with the Golden Update, which introduces cross-play between all platforms and a new sandbox mode, among other things.
“The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria follows the Dwarves as they embark on a new adventure to reclaim their legendary home of Moria beneath the Misty Mountains,” says an official description of the game.
“The game is set in the procedurally generated dwarven kingdom of Moria, so no two adventures are the same and each expedition can be completed either alone or in online co-op mode with companions.
“Players can dig to craft better gear and resources, but beware, mining makes noise, and the noise created in the silent depths threatens to awaken the dangers below: where there's noise, there's fighting.
“Uncover the secrets of legendary mountains, mine precious metals, fight for survival, and battle unspeakable forces to uncover the mystery of the shadow that lurks within them.”
