Split Door 2 is fast. That was the prevailing thought as I spent hours sampling the sequel’s new maps, weapons, gear, moves, abilities, and more. Despite my computer literally grinding to a halt (a shortcoming of my own setup, not the game itself), everything felt fast. I didn’t even have time to think about my gear before I was suddenly thrust into the match. Once the action started, everything went a bit of a blur, then came to an abrupt halt a few minutes later. Bullets flew, people burst out of portals, and in about two minutes, the first round was over before I could process the changes.
