The second of two Halloween video games has been revealed, along with a new game based on the Evil Dead IP.
On Monday, it was announced that Boss Team Games – most recently responsible for Evil Dead: The Game – is working on two video games based on the 1978 film Halloween.
Monday's announcement also revealed that one of those games would be developed using Unreal Engine 5 and that the original film's director, John Carpenter, would also be involved.
However, an Amazon listing published earlier today revealed the other game, as well as one based on the Ash vs Evil Dead television series.
As now reported on IGN, the two games will form a new series of licensed retro-themed games called RetroRealms, being developed by Boss Team Games and WayForward.
RetroRealms: Halloween and RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead are 16-bit style action platform games.
Each game costs $24.99 digitally or can be purchased physically as a 2-in-1 version for $49.99.
Boss Team Games says that purchasing both games will give players access to new features, allowing them to play as Michael Myers or Ash in each other's worlds.
“Everyone at Boss Team Games is a huge horror fan and the opportunity to work with these legendary works is a dream come true,” said the CEO of Boss Team Games in a statement.
“Working with WayForward and our licensors has been a great experience. We were able to create not one, but two fast-paced 90s-style arcade games while staying true to the original Halloween movie and the Ash vs Evil Dead series.”
