When you first start your zombie survival adventure 7 Days to DieYou're immediately thrown into a vast game world. You have one goal—find the nearest merchant—but other than that, you're flying solo. Tough, with terrors around every corner, and if you're caught off guard, a single zombie could end your run. But with the right armor sets, you'll survive!
Here’s what you need to know about armor: 7 Days to Die!
How to craft armor sets
Don’t expect to craft most of the game’s armor sets right away. They’re expensive and require a lot of resources, a variety of workbenches, and time. You can craft your first set, the Primitive Armor Set, directly from your inventory system with a handful of resources. It’s adequate, but you’ll want to upgrade quickly.
As you get deeper into the game, you’ll need a Workbench and a Furnace to smelt iron ore into wrought iron, the key ingredient in many armor sets. But to do this, you’ll need to find iron deposits, which usually spawn underground. If you can find a mining POI, you’ll have much better luck. But you can also dig deep into the ground with a shovel in the hopes of finding a small deposit.
Besides resources like iron, many armor sets also require Armor Crafting Kits, which you can find in high-value loot boxes and as quest rewards for merchants.
Types of armor in the game
In total, 7 Days to Die It contains 16 unique armor sets, the majority of which offer a set bonus that increases your stats and abilities when you wear each piece. These armor sets are divided into four categories: Primitive Armor, Light Armor, Medium Armor, and Heavy Armor.
Early in the game, you'll probably be wearing Primitive Armor. It's the most cost-effective to craft, but it's also the only armor set in the game that doesn't offer bonuses. The entire set includes Primitive Headgear, Primitive Clothing, Primitive Gloves, and Primitive Shoes. They're definitely basic, but they'll help you survive.
But you'll want to upgrade to better armor quickly.
